Charice makes it to Billboard’s 21 Under 21 list

Not only did she make it, Charice is on the 4th spot only behind teen sensations Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber & Taylor Swift.

Billboard‘s annual list counts down artists under the age of 21 whom they think rules and will rule the music industry. Other notable inclusions are Korea’s Wonder Girls, Glee’s Chris Colfer, Camp Rock’s Nick Jonas & Demi Lovato & another Youtube sensation Greyson Chance. Disney teen queen Miley Cyrus is also in of course, although intiguingly low (she’s at #10), Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen also gets a spot by fronting her band The Pretty Reckless & Nickelodeon’s very own Miranda Cosgrove also made the cut.

I kind of agree to this list, well some of it. I still think JB should be number 1. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still not a fanatic but you can’t deny he’s the biggest superstar out there aside from Lady Gaga. But other than that, everything’s cool. Way to go Charice! 🙂

Today’s the Day!

Gleek out! Today is the day we’ve been all waiting for! The 1st episode called “Auditions” will air later tonight on ETC and I can’t stop obsessing already. Based on the promo video, we know that they’re going to perform Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind and will introduce a bunch of new characters including Dot Jones as the new football coach, Beiste (pronounced as “beast” 😀 ), I dunno what happened to Ken Tanaka though. And then you have Sunshine Corazon, portrayed by Filipina talent, our pride, Charice, who is said to have killed her audition scene where she sang Beyonce’s Listen. I don’t know if the Telephone duet with Rachel (Lea Michele), originally a Gaga & B collaboration, will be happening tonight as well. These are all too exciting.. can’t wait!!! 🙂

Love & Other Drugs

Kind of cornball movie title, isn’t it?  This RomCom reunites 2 of my favorite actors Jake Gyllenhaal & Anne Hathaway so I will watch this, no matter what. They worked together on the 2005 critically acclaimed Ang Lee film, Brokeback Mountain. Set to be released this November 24 in the US, hopefully, I won’t wait too long for the local screenings in Manila. I’m lovin’ the trailer, check it out below. ❤

Rapper & Pop Star dominate the 2010 VMAs

No, not Kanye & Taylor – although they still managed to steal the spotlight at some point. I’m talking about Eminem & Gaga. With the latter taking home 8 Moonmans (moonmen?) including Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video for “Bad Romance”, she proves to be an unstoppable force. Eminem bagged Best Male Video and Best Rap Video for “Not Afraid”. Bieber managed to take Best New Artist against Ke$ha & Nicki Minaj. The Jared Leto band 30 Seconds To Mars won for Best Rock Video which I think should’ve went to Paramore.

Chelsea Lately comedian, Chelsea Handler, hosted the night including a stint with Lindsay Lohan. West’s performance was one of the show’s highlights, also Eminem and surprise appearance of Rihanna. Swift performed a song for Kanye. And Gaga, same as last year, had a couple of outfit changes including the meat dress above. Believe it.

On the very refreshing white carpet, I thought Gaga, strangely enough, looked a bit tamed but fabulous! One of her best looks in her career.

I have to admit, the boys look good. Usher & Justin Bieber share the spotlight. Hot!

I love this dress and I love Katy Perry!!! Not so sure about the highlights though.

Btw. Chelsea claimed that last night’s VMAs is the one of the highest rated since 2002. Congrats to her then! And good job for MTV.

Let the Games begin!

..The Hunger Games that is. I love it when I experiment on a book and it turns out really good. I don’t exactly have a lot on my plate right now but I do read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner online when I get the chance. I decided to pick up a copy and when I checked the back for the premise, I guess it intruiged me. Set in the future in the ruins of North America, an annual fight to death on national TV is held, hence the title. The story revolves around Katniss and her inclusion in the games, how she survives it or not, is the thrill of it all.

It has a well-paced plot I must say and a very easy read, exciting even. It’s also nice that there’s a bit of romance going on especially towards the end. It leaves you hanging though so you have no choice but to get the 2nd book, Catching Fire. Mockingjay, the final installment has just been made available at local bookstores. I’m very eager to gobble up its entirety soon. And I’ll be happy to give an update by then. Anyways, it is much recommended. 🙂

Cosmo Gone Wild!

The September issue of Cosmo Philippines is out now featuring Agua Bendita star Andi Eigenmann. Meanwhile, Sam Milby covers the annual CosmoMen booklet containing 69 gorgeous bachelors and 10 hot centerfolds posing with wild animals for the ‘Gone Wild!’ theme this year. Some names to watch out for are Christian Bautista, Rocco Nacino, Joross Gamboa & Carl Guevarra. Shouldn’t be hard to figure out why its Cosmo’s bestseller every year. 😉

Mine’s ISFJ, how ’bout you?

Recently signed up on StumbleUpon and upon filling my profile details, it asked: Personality? And a bunch of 4-character options were given. And I’m like: “what the heck is this?” Thanks to Wikipedia it dawned on me that these refer to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI. A psychological test that determines your personality type based on the the following dichotomous pairs of cognitive functions:
1. Extroverted (E) / Introverted (I)
2. Sensing (S) / Intuitive (I)
3. Thinking (T) / Feeling (F)
4. Judging (J) / Perceiving (P)

All in all, there are 16 possible combinations and at first I kinda guessed I’m an ‘ISFJ’ and after answering the test, I confirmed:

ISFJ – “Conservator”. Desires to be of service and to minister to individual needs – very loyal. 13.8% of total population.
